Showcase 2010 Timeline
Showcase is not required. Dancers can certainly benefit from our classes with out performing at the end of the season. It is however, a FUN way for our dancers to show you how much they have learned. Performing is an important part of the dance experience. You may choose not to perform at all, maybe perform every other season. If you do choose to perform, here are some dates to remember:
April-May 18, 2010 Costumes begins arriving. We will fix them as they come in. Any alterations needed will be completed during this time. This is a great time to collect shoes, tights and to practice any hair and make-up techniques.
May 1, 2010 Don't forget to sign up for summer classes! We have great workshops and our second annual ballet production coming up. On August 14, we will present: Sleeping Beauty.
May 17-28, 2010 Pick up your complementary tickets! Tickets for our show will go on sale. During this time frame, you can purchase a maximum of 4 extra at LDA during office hours. Beginning June 1st the remainder of the tickets will go on sale on a come-first served basis. You may purchase an unlimited quantity of tickets after June 1st ( until we run out!) Any tickets not purchased will be sold at the door on the day of the show for $8.00 each. This is also a great time to look over your recital packets. Complete forms such as Photo Order Form and the Video Order Form.
May 24-27, 2010 We will have a photo week. Bring your completed order forms. During this time, dancers will have their class and individual photos taken in their recital costumes. Please be early.
May 28, 2010 Program Ad forms due. Place a personal message to your beautiful dancer or advertise your business in our program!
June 5, 2010 Video forms are due!
June 12, 2010 "Dancing Across the USA" Showcase (recital) 2010. We will hold it at Thompson Valley High School and will hold a dress rehearsal in the theater that day. The Showcase will begin at 6:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed to help with the Showcase. Please fill out and turn in the  Sign Up Sheet if interested in helping.
