Performance Dance Team
Jenni Leinweber has been the School's Director and co-owner since it began in 1998. During this time the school has had great success with its Performance Dance Team which competes and performs on a regional and National Level. In the Summer of 2007, members of the team traveled to New York City to take classes and attend a National Competition. They have received many Top Overall Awards for Small Groups, Solos and Duo/Trios and the "Studio Spirit" award for their team spirit and professional attitude during competition. Along with competing, the team performs for local and regional organizations such as local elementary schools and retirement/nursing homes.

Competition can be a great opportunity for young dancers to learn the skill of performing at a high level in front of an audience. It also gives us the chance to hear constructive criticism from professionals from around the country so we can better our programs. They often reinforce the things they learn in their classes and rehearsals.
Competition is a part of the dance industry. It helps us to know what is going on in the world of dance and stay current in styles and in teaching approaches. It is a great way for young dancers to meet other dancers they wouldn’t have the chance to meet at our studio.
Competition is not the only thing in the dance industry. We use it as a tool to help our students grow. What we learn from these competitions to take forward in life and dance is paramount to developing well rounded, diverse dancers and people. We are very proud of the awards we receive and hope to add more to our list in the future. The most important goal for our team, however, is to improve each time we are on stage or in a rehearsal. Competitions give us tangible landmarks to measure our growth.
