Parent Agreement

Tuition:

  • All tuition must be paid by the 1st of each month.  All accounts not paid by the 1st of each month are subject to a 10% late fee.  Arrangements can be made for special circumstances.
  • All tuition is non-refundable.  If serious injuries or illness occur, please notify the office with in one week of the event.  You are not financially committed to the entire year, but once the tuition is paid, it can not be returned.  Costume fees and recital fees are refundable only if the costume can be returned to the company we purchase it from.
  • You must notify the office in person, by telephone or by email if you wish to discontinue at class.
  • Any Balances left for 60 days will be charged: 1. 10% late fee for each month overdue, 2. any collection charges. Any and all accounts will be turned over to a collection agency at that time.
  • Statements will not be sent until the account is overdue. 
  • Each month’s tuition is for four weeks of dance.

Classroom Etiquette

  • At the Loveland Dance Academy our primary goal is for your children have fun while learning dance technique and strong work ethics.  We expect all dancers to show respect to themselves, each other and all instructors.  You will often see our instructors enforcing the following rules:
    • Dress Code (when appropriate)
    • Respectful manners to all
    • Safe Behavior
    • Timeliness
    • Self respect

 

  • We expect each dancer to be responsible for the above principles.  We discourage the following:
    • Tardiness
    • Frequent absences
    • Disrespectful dialogue with instructors and or classmates.
    • Inappropriate dress

 

  • All actions addressing these issues will be age appropriate and handled in a sensitive manner.  We believe that these principles are equal in importance to dance technique.

 

 

 

Spring Showcase

  • We have an annual Showcase (recital) on the third weekend of June on June 16th, 2007.  The Showcase will be at Thompson Valley High School.  We will hold a dress rehearsal during the day of the show, and the show will begin at 6:30pm.  Young Dancer classes will perform one dance per hour of dance instruction.  Combo instructors will choose the style of dance for his or her class.

 

  • We understand that our dancers and their families have many commitments outside of dance.  During showcase season, attendance is imperative.  If a dancer misses more that 4 classes between February 1st and June 15th, he or she may be asked not to participate in our showcase.

 

  • The showcase is not required, although it is recommended. 

 

  • A Costume Fee of $60.00 per class per dancer is due January 15th.   Any fees not paid by January 15th will be assessed a $10.00 fee. 

 

  • A Performance Fee of $25.00 per dancer is due March 15th.  Any fees not paid by March 15th will be assessed a $10.00 fee.

 

Addressing Issues:

  • Unfortunately we do make mistakes at the Loveland Dance Academy.  We welcome you as parents to bring those to our attention.  We do ask that you use discretion as you address them with us.  We ask that any conversations that are sensitive and private in matter be held while classes are not in session and are addressed to the director.  If issues concern other parents or children, please do not address this issue at the studio.  Please resolve the issue independently or make an appointment with the director to resolve the situation.  Angry dialog, foul language and physical threats will not be tolerated.  Parents and/or students who display this type of behavior may be asked to no longer participate in the classes at the Loveland Dance Academy.  Please remember that these rules are for the safety and comfort of ALL dancers.
  • Please do not leave children unattended in our lobbies.  Please keep them within your sight.

 

  • The use and/or presence of drugs or alcohol on the studio property will not be tolerated.  Violators will be asked to leave.

 

 

  • If your dancer has a contagious illness, please keep them at home in consideration for your dancer and the other dancers.  A simple rule of thumb is no school; no dance.

1.     I know that I am responsible for my own actions at the Loveland Dance Academy.

2.     I must clean up after myself.

3.     Gossip will not be tolerated at the Loveland Dance Academy.

4.     I know that I need to be on time for my classes

5.     Being on time means being ready to dance with my hair done and my shoes on and in the studio when my class is scheduled to start.

6.     I will be safe in my classes for myself and for my classmates.

7.     I will be nice to all my classmates.

8.     I will try my best.

9.     I know I cannot wear jeans in any dance class.

10. I know that I cannot chew gum or eat anything in dance class or during a rehearsal.

11. I know it is my job to keep track of my dance things and bring them to class.

12. I know that it is important that I come to class all the time so I can be a better dancer.

13. I understand that use of alcohol and/or drugs is strictly forbidden at the Loveland Dance Academy. 

 

14. I know that the younger dancers look up to me.  I agree to refrain from negative discussions and/or inappropriate discussions in front of them.

 

15.  I know it is my responsibility to manage my time so dance and schoolwork do not conflict.
